R I V E R B E D - spring sweater collection.
Tune into one of the most peaceful landscapes in the region and follow Anastasia as she skillfully models the spring sweaters along the riverbed.
Introduction
This sweater collection emerged from an artistic residency I completed in Odemira (Portugal) last year. I used the residency to do a landscape study from which I created a regional color palette and developed a pattern for the sweaters in this collection.
I make each sweater myself on a manual knitting machine at my studio in our village. The yarns I work with are 100% local merino wool, sometimes in conjunction with other natural fibers. Every sweater is unique. For each one I choose the colors, knit the pieces, sew the seams and then block the finished garment, an intensive creative process that takes roughly two to three days per sweater.
All the sweaters follow the same one - sized pattern, but vary slightly - measurements are included for each one.
